The Good Companion, COVID-19 & How we can help
at this time!
What a period it's been for New Zealanders.
We face a pandemic unlike anything we've seen in the
last 100 years. COVID-19 has shut down borders between
states and countries, postponed the worlds largest sporting
events, cancelled festivals and forced countless businesses
to close. It's a scary time filled with far more questions
than answers.
Our team at The Good Companion want
to ensure you that for us, this just means business
as usual. We know that our clients rely on us to help
them get by and we want you to know that we're not going
anywhere!!
At The Good Companion we have always
prided ourselves on our commitment to consistency. When
you're with us you know exactly who will be turning
up and at exactly what time! There are no surprises,
no cancelled shifts and no strangers knocking your door.
We believe that a strong relationship between carer
and client is the basis for healthy support or rehabilitation.
Our commitment, during this time, has only proven to
galvanize this as best practice.
Moving forward The Good Companion would
also like to let our clients know that we are doing
everything we can to minimise the risk of spreading
the Corona virus. Until further notice we will be restricting
how many families a carer see's in a week. This means
you not only who is coming, at what time they're coming
AND that they've taken every precaution to keep your
family safe!
Whether you need help with the shopping,
the cooking, the cleaning or you need more specialised
care - our staff are here to help! We offer in home
aged care, disability care, companionship, dementia
care, post hospitalization support, palliative care
and more!
Who can we help?
Aged care clients who wish to stay
in their own home longer instead of moving into an assisted
living facility.
Families worried about a loved one
being stuck in isolation.
Anyone who needs supplementary care,
during this time, to fill the gaps in your existing
supportive framework.
People unable to work due to mental
health battles and are struggling to maintain their
home.
