WELCOME TO THE GOOD COMPANION
We provide personal in-home care
and companionship for the elderly, disabled and
convalescing, in order to help them to remain
living in their own homes.
I’m Tessa Hay, the general
manager.
Worried about an elderly relative?
Living on the other side of the world from some
of my own family, I appreciate the dilemmas faced
by many Baby Boomers with elderly relatives.
|
I established The Good CompanionTM
in 2005 in response to the demand from families who
were geographically distanced from their elderly relatives,
or due to work commitments, were unable to provide the
care and attention they would have liked, during the
working week. Crises for the elderly happen quickly.
You know it may only be a matter of time before there
is a crisis. Families are not always around to help,
or able to respond straight away.

Our services enable your older family member to continue
living independently, with the kind of care and support
you would like to provide yourself.

It is impossible to overstate
the peace of mind The Good CompanionTM
has given our family. They are enabling our mother
to fulfull her wish to continue living in her
own home, and have brought her a whole new sense
of confidence & fun.
Fiona McKenzie, Wellington.
With no family living near to
our parents, we were so relieved when The Good
CompanionTM stepped
in to help take care of them...they really gave
us tremendous peace of mind.
Mandy Rutherford, Canterbury.
The girls have been so excellent
and have added so much enjoyment to mother’s
daily life... they have changed her life from
existing to living.
Polly Warren, Lincoln.
